I really do not think Miss State is that much better given the way these two have played. Georgia has played in close games in conference and 14 points is a bit too much. With the public all over Miss State the line dropped from 15 to 14 and is heading to 13 in some places.
Miss State beat Arkansas by only 2 in their last home game Arkansas is more than 100 places lower in the RPI than Georgia. Georgia has been tested and it has prepared them for their conference schedule. They rank 88 in the RPI to Miss State's 48. Their non-conference schedule looks like this Illinois, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech while Miss played UCLA (down this year) and Depaul. Add in that Georgia already played Kentucky in conference play and you can see what I mean by a stronger strength of schedule.
How Georgia hurts itself is turning the ball over. They average nearly 19 in conference play, but Miss State only forces 10.5 turnovers per game well below the NCAA average. They simply aren't a pressure team that steals the ball.
